Our new Guide to Understanding Your Emotions will help you understand the variety of emotions you may experience after diagnosis and treatment and practical ways to move forward.

Written with guidance from a team of healthcare professionals and women affected by breast cancer, this 20-page guide is divided into six sections that can help you learn to cope during and after treatment. Section one explores the range of emotions you may experience, whether you are just beginning treatment or are years beyond your diagnosis. Sections two and three explain how to know if your emotions can be characterized as anxiety or depression and how to help yourself. Section four discusses what to expect when you visit a mental health professional. Section five explores how your emotions may change after you finish treatment, and section six provides additional tips for moving forward.

Throughout the guide, you will find lists of resources that may help you manage your emotions, including 10 Places to Find Help for Emotional Distress, 10 Times to Consult a Mental Health Professional, 10 Ways to Support Yourself and Helpful Resources for Finding a Mental Health Professional.

The guide is free to women affected by breast cancer and healthcare professionals. We invite you to download a PDF or to order copies for your office or clinic at our marketplace.
