Living Beyond Breast Cancer's networking meeting, Metastatic Breast Cancer: Living Your "New Normal" Every Day, took place on Wednesday, August 11, 2010.

Ongoing treatment for metastatic breast cancer can use up most of your time and energy. It is possible, though, to find balance in your life. Neal Niznan, LCSW, an oncology social worker, and Carrie Tompkins Stricker, PhD, RN, AOCN, an oncology nurse practitioner, discuss:

  • navigating the emotional and medical impact of ongoing treatment
  • learning coping skills to juggle changes to your diagnosis, treatment or lifestyle
  • the reactions of others and their impact on your energy and outlook
